statement
In my childhood, I was amazed by the elasticity of cartoon bodies in classic Max Fleischer Cartoons such as Popeye, Betty Boop, and Flip the Frog. I still wish I could squash & stretch beyond the limits of my human form when faced with peril. Inspired by toons, my works often feature non-human characters performing unnatural acts that cannot be easily explained. Drawn with pencil, ink, or scanned and digitally painted, these works are both serious totems and invitations to laugh.
